AdaptTable for Taiga UI
Live updates in Taiga UI
Rows patch in as they arrive, the way a websocket would. This page applies one budget change at a time so the movement is followable.
Patches go through the row-patch API rather than replacing the array, so search, filters and sort re-run for the touched rows only — your scroll and selection survive.
The feed lists every patch as it lands. The table is Taiga UI.
The code
import { Component, input, signal } from "@angular/core";
import type { ColumnDef } from "@adapttable/angular";
import { applyRowPatches, updateRow } from "@adapttable/core";
import { AdaptDataTable } from "@adapttable/taiga-ui";
@Component({
selector: "app-live-people",
imports: [AdaptDataTable],
template: `
<adapt-data-table
[data]="rows()" [columns]="columns()" [rowKey]="rowKey"
/>
`,
})
export class LivePeople {
readonly rows = signal<readonly Person[]>([]);
readonly columns = input.required<readonly ColumnDef<Person>[]>();
readonly rowKey = (row: Person) => row.id;
patchBudget(id: string, budget: number): void {
this.rows.update((rows) => applyRowPatches(
rows, [updateRow<Person>(id, { budget })], this.rowKey,
));
}
}

More Taiga UI features
- Filtering in Taiga UI — Ranges, selects, an AND/OR tree and chips — all in the URL.
- Column management in Taiga UI — Show, hide, reorder, pin and resize — from a menu you did not write.
- Column groups in Taiga UI — Spanning headers that collapse to a stub, a kept child, or a custom cell.
- Row selection in Taiga UI — A set of ids that survives paging, with bulk actions over it.
- Rows in Taiga UI — Pin rows from a 3-dot menu, and merge a team that runs down the page.
- Row reordering in Taiga UI — Drag or keyboard moves, announced — the host writes.
- Inline cell editing in Taiga UI — Native editors in the cell; every write goes through your handler.
- Row grouping in Taiga UI — Drag, select or keyboard grouping, with totals in the headers.
- Aggregation in Taiga UI — Footer totals, pinned summaries, group aggregates — not data rows.
- Nested tables in Taiga UI — A real table under a row — same engine, own columns, own keys.
- CSV export in Taiga UI — One toolbar button, a CSV of the table as it stands.
- Row and column virtualization in Taiga UI — 40,000 rows in a scroll box, only the visible ones rendered.
- Tree data in Taiga UI — Nesting, chevrons, lazy children, and a tree on phones.
- Mobile cards in Taiga UI — Every row becomes a card on phones. Automatically, with the same state.
- Pivot tables in Taiga UI — Rows down the side, dimensions across the top, subtotals at every level.
- Saved views in Taiga UI — Name an arrangement and restore it from the menu.
- Spreadsheet formulas in Taiga UI — ROUND, POWER, SQRT, IF — computed columns, errors in the cell.
- Right-to-left Taiga UI data table — Arabic strings, a flipped axis, and a popover that opens from the right edge.
- Accessible Taiga UI data table — Arrow-key focus, a visible ring, forced-colors, and live announcements.
- AI table assistant in Taiga UI Angular — Local sort, questions and approved edits with real table outcomes.
