AdaptTable for Nuxt UI
Row and column virtualization in Nuxt UI
Compose virtualize() and the table renders the rows in view plus a small overscan, whatever the dataset's size — forty thousand rows on this page, a few dozen of them in the page at once.
The scroll box scrolls rather than the page, and sorting and filtering keep working on the whole dataset rather than on what is drawn. virtualize({ virtualizeColumns: true }) does the same across, for column sets wider than the box.
The code
<script setup lang="ts">
import type { ColumnDef } from "@adapttable/vue";
import { DataTable } from "@adapttable/nuxt-ui";
import { virtualize } from "@adapttable/nuxt-ui/virtualize";
defineProps<{ rows: readonly Person[] }>();
const columns: ColumnDef<Person>[] = [
{ key: "name", sortable: true },
{ key: "team" },
{ key: "budget", sortable: true },
];
const rowKey = (row: Person) => row.id;
const features = [virtualize({ maxHeight: 480 })];
</script>
<template>
<DataTable
:data="rows"
:columns="columns"
:row-key="rowKey"
pagination-mode="infinite"
:features="features"
/>
</template>

More Nuxt UI features
- Filtering in Nuxt UI — Ranges, selects, an AND/OR tree and chips — all in the URL.
- Column management in Nuxt UI — Show, hide, reorder, pin and resize — from a menu you did not write.
- Column groups in Nuxt UI — Spanning headers that collapse to a stub, a kept child, or a custom cell.
- Row selection in Nuxt UI — A set of ids that survives paging, with bulk actions over it.
- Rows in Nuxt UI — Pin rows from a 3-dot menu, and merge a team that runs down the page.
- Row reordering in Nuxt UI — Drag or keyboard moves, announced — the host writes.
- Inline cell editing in Nuxt UI — Native editors in the cell; every write goes through your handler.
- Row grouping in Nuxt UI — Drag, select or keyboard grouping, with totals in the headers.
- Aggregation in Nuxt UI — Footer totals, pinned summaries, group aggregates — not data rows.
- Nested tables in Nuxt UI — A real table under a row — same engine, own columns, own keys.
- CSV export in Nuxt UI — One toolbar button, a CSV of the table as it stands.
- Tree data in Nuxt UI — Nesting, chevrons, lazy children, and a tree on phones.
- Mobile cards in Nuxt UI — Every row becomes a card on phones. Automatically, with the same state.
- Pivot tables in Nuxt UI — Rows down the side, dimensions across the top, subtotals at every level.
- Saved views in Nuxt UI — Name an arrangement and restore it from the menu.
- Spreadsheet formulas in Nuxt UI — ROUND, POWER, SQRT, IF — computed columns, errors in the cell.
- Right-to-left Nuxt UI data table — Arabic strings, a flipped axis, and a popover that opens from the right edge.
- Live updates in Nuxt UI — Rows change while you read them. Sort and selection hold.
- Accessible Nuxt UI data table — Arrow-key focus, a visible ring, forced-colors, and live announcements.
- AI table assistant in Nuxt UI Vue — Local sort, questions and approved edits with real table outcomes.
